Visiting with friends

On Thursday, we drove over to Fisherman's Village in Punta Gorda to meet up with Beth and Tracy (Beth is Pam's sister) as well as Pam's mother's cousin Nancy, and her husband Farrell.  B & T are on their way to St Pete via Naples.  Nancy & Farrell have a condo in Fisherman's Village. (We stopped at Nancy and Farrell's house on the Hudson River.) We had lunch and strolled through the shops.

Yesterday, we went back to Steve and Sharon's condo in Naples to visit with them and more friends from home--Bill and Joyce, who live in our neighborhood, and Shelly and Cherryl, who live across the lake from us.
The guys went fishing on Steve's flats boat.  These photos are looking down from their condo.

This is the reciprocal view.  You can see the women on the deck of the third floor.

It was a little windy and cool, but we had a great day out on the water.  Unfortunately, Steve didn't pay close attention to the video I sent him on how to catch redfish, so we only caught some jacks and ladyfish.  And one small trout.

This weekend there is a Ranger Tug rendezvous in our marina.  It's a real tug fest--a total of 16 Rangers Tugs.  I guess they heard about the "free beer" on Saturdays.

Our little heater has been working overtime the last couple of mornings.  The temperature has been in the low 40's.  It's my job to wake up early, and turn on the small ceramic heater we use.  Pam will crawl out of bed when it get's over 60 inside the boat.  The afternoon temperature will get into the 70's, so I can leave Pam here with the free beer and the tugs while I go fishing.
