dismal departure

Saturday night, our pals Woody and Brenda came over to Centerville marina and picked us up.  We had a nice dinner, and then went over to their house and sat out on their deck overlooking a part of the Elizabeth River.  A pleasant evening in a beautiful setting.

Our trip home started with the truck coughing and blowing out thick black smoke again.  I imagine the tunnel out of Norfolk is still filled with our black smoke.  We breathed a sigh of relief to get out on the other side.

We were able to limp on back home the 800 miles without a total meltdown.  All the way, I kept thinking of those great Ford acronyms.................

  1. That was a very cool trip. The history of that area is amazing. Thanks for maintaining the blog, and keeping us all up to date. I check it daily.
    Waiting for the next adventure.
